Back to Merchant's Lane

A quick late lunch cum afternoon tea at this rustic cafe definitely lightens your mood. As it was my last afternoon off before I started work again the following day, Merchant Lane definitely helped lift the blues away.

Simple food. But hit the spot!

The good thing about this being a Thursday afternoon was the lack of crowd. Try coming here on weekends - the queue would go round the block. Despite discovering this place five years ago, the charm remains.

I happened to bring along my medium format Fuji that afternoon. The dreamy tone of the camera, coupled with the ambience, just hit home. It was an ideal afternoon to let time pass by while surfing the net or just having a slumber. It might have been better if it was raining outside. The zinc covers and the airy gaps would have made things interesting.

Iced mocha …

It was a place worth visiting from time to time, whenever you chance by Chinatown in KL. With the newly opened Four Season Hotel right in front of the cafe, parking would be straightforward.
