Getting Quiet

So, most of Malaysia would be heading for another Movement Control Order from tomorrow. But to add to the confusion - or excitement - was the announcement of the State of Emergency out of the blue this morning. Reading between the lines, everyone could figure out what was behind all that. But to be honest, a General Election in the middle of this pandemic, despite what the PhD holders think, would be disastrous.

As Anita had already sorted out our household needs, plus her Mum staying with us during this curfew, we decided to take a walk. I picked up a few things at the mall, and then we had a quiet dinner before heading back home.

You could see from the shop vendors that they were feeling sad with all the uncertainties in the coming weeks. Although the announcement was for two weeks, we knew from before that it tended to be extended. Add to that, the confusion when it comes to school timetable, everybody was feeling low.

So, let’s see what tomorrow holds. Maybe more queue - which for me is unnecessary to get to work. Best to leave early as I had to be at all the three hospitals to see referrals. The first day of the curfew would be a long one for me ...
