Lagenda Cafe, Georgetown

As mentioned, we ended our stroll at Armenian Street by having a late afternoon tea at Cafe Lagenda. A P Ramlee-themed eatery, it reeks nostalgia. The menu was fusion, some Thai and Northern elements with plenty of refreshing drinks and mocktails to clench the thirst.

Located just around the corner from the main street, we only discovered it by chance. But the moment we stepped in, we knew we had a winner.

We did not have a full meal. We ordered a couple of starters - tauhu sumbat and banana fritters - plus a couple of soothing drinks. And we were done. Nice ambience and as it was still early, the place was still empty. Apparently on busy nights reservations were needed.

There were also some seats on the mews on the side of the cafe, offering a nice alfresco feel to the whole proceeding. Blaring music and space for live music made for a lively atmosphere. A beautiful place to hang out I would have thought.
